Hox Park

Surrey | Royalton & Moorfield | Completed

Hox Park creates a new student community set within a stunning elevated parkland overlooking the river Thames. The design comprises 499 studio and ensuite student bedrooms organised around staircases that are accessed from a series of 'collegiate' landscaped courtyards. The rooms set a new standard in the quality of student accommodation in Egham. The landscape provides an opportunity for young people to socialise and interact as well as the perfect backdrop for quiet study.

The project utilised a fully offsite fabricated precast concrete superstructure, bring a number of benefits in terms of cost, programme, resilience and environment.

Developed collaboratively with Moorfield and The Royalton Group, Hox Park has been a success with lettings at capacity within the first term.

The choice of materials, such as textured brick and stone, and the massing of the scheme was determined by the relationship with the adjacent Grade II* Air Forces memorial and its gardens and the desire to complement the outstanding landscape setting.

We’re thrilled with the outcome at Hox Park – Studio Partington have not only transformed the site with a scheme that responds beautifully to the setting, but most importantly have reframed the way that student housing can be perceived through the delivery of accommodation of the highest quality.
