Windsor Street Supported Living

Islington | Islington Council | Under Construction

Windsor Street is a residential building developed for the London Borough of Islington, providing supported accommodation for eleven adults with learning difficulties within their own community.

The proposed building reinstates the street frontage, mirroring the terrace that was historically on the sloping site. The three-storey buff, stock brick building steps along its length and is complemented by a contrasting single storey element on the corner of Windsor Street. The building is configured to enclose a private landscaped courtyard at the rear.

The design has been developed with the user group to provide flexible accommodation for residents with a range of needs. Self contained units and shared accommodation is supported by additional communal and staff facilities.
