Planning and Listed Building Approval Received!

Further approval has been granted for the fire safety, electrical, building fabric repair and redecoration works at Grade II* listed Crescent House, the first residential block in the Golden Lane Estate renewal project. This complements the planning approval already secured for the refurbishment of the building's windows, roofs and soffits. Designed in the late 1950s and completed in the early 1960s by Chamberlin Powell and Bon as one of the final residential buildings within the Golden Lane Estate, Crescent House acts as an important threshold from Goswell Road.

Studio Partington worked closely with Golden Lane Estate residents, Historic England, Twentieth Century Society, City of London Corporation planners, and other stakeholders to develop proposals that carefully balance improved energy performance with the conservation of the building's historic fabric and the original design intent.

We look forward to continuing our role in the refurbishment of not only Crescent House, but all the residential buildings across the Golden Lane Estate!
