Cambridge Passivhaus

Cambridge | Planning Consent

This proposal for two pairs of semi detached houses in Trumpington is the first scheme of Cambridge City Council’s small sites programme to be approved. The site provides new homes on an underused garage backland site. The homes are designed to Passive House Low Energy Building standards with a landscape that provides 30% biodiversity net gain.

The proposal responds to the surrounding context using traditional building forms and materials.  The homes are grouped closely facing each other around a shared garden, providing opportunities for meeting neighbours, play and planting for biodiversity.
