Mountbatten View is a finalist in AJ Architecture Awards!
Following news that Mountbatten View is a finalist in AJArchitectureAwards, alongside Dacorum Borough Council we are looking forward to welcoming the expert judges to Hemel Hempstead next week.
Mountbatten View development offering 100 per cent social housing is one of five projects shortlisted in the Housing Project (£10-20 million) category. Designed with landscape architect TEP – The Environment Partnership and built by Bugler Developments, Mountbatten View provides 58 affordable apartments for those most in need. The prominent town centre site was supplied by Homes England.
Studio Partington’s Architects’ Journal competition winning design responds to the steeply sloping site, 360-degree views and Paradise Fields open landscape setting. The new apartments with generous living spaces and balconies are integrated by diverse communal external spaces (habitat garden, courtyard garden, woodland walk, wildflower meadow and timber play features) and strong connections to the town centre and adjacent meadow (characterised by an open boundary to the north).
